We are in the midst of the Civil War of 2021. The president is selfish and desperate. Beyond him, there is a political leadership vacuum.
The American people have been dangerously misinformed, most Republicans still support the president and many disaffected Americans are attracted to violence.
It is necessary for those with power like the media, tech, big companies, the legal community, and others to act decisively to reject lawlessness and autocracy, and they are.
But that action of the elites also potentially stokes more violence from the disaffected.
So today all Americans must serve our nation — through both words and deeds — to save us from the abyss.
