This presentation was a total home run, and we just have to share this.

This week, Michael presented his “Mingle Project” to our summer camp organization, The Camp Owners and Directors Association, and it was nothing short of incredible. From the moment he stepped on stage, he had the room. He connected with our attendees instantly and held that connection all the way through to his final words.

His storytelling is nostalgic, heartfelt, and genuinely funny. There were plenty of laughs, and even a few misty eyes at times. Our group was completely locked in from the start.

What makes Michael’s work stand out is how thoughtfully he shares it. As an independent political thinker, he explains the heart behind the Mingle Project in a way that feels authentic and grounded. Why the Mingle Project? Because, in part, the political climate in our country has driven us apart, and he believes we can do better.

As a closing keynote, we always hope to send our attendees off feeling inspired, energized, and ready to dive into summer. Michael delivered exactly that.

Michael spoke at the annual AGA Executive Conference in San Antonio. His keynote address left a meaningful impression on our members and set a thoughtful tone for the discussions that followed. When NCSL held our Summit for over 9000, including 1600 elected state legislators representing every point on the ideological/political spectrum, we needed a main stage speaker with savvy and substance, a thought leader who could appeal to our diverse audience and give them more than just the usual cable-fare that they are all sick of. Michael Smerconish crushed the assignment. He listened intently to our vision for the session and genuinely prepared for our group. He didn't "mail-it-in." On top of that, great guy to work with. Michael’s presentation on the Mingle Project resonated with our global sales organization in an engaging and easily understood way regardless of the participants geographic location or origin. Our sales team regularly interacts with all areas of a prospect from the hangar floor to the board room. Michael’s message about breaking out of your bubble and finding common ground was embraced by the team since they have to live it every day. Michael gave his Mingle Project presentation to a room full of state legislative leaders and others in government affairs at a meeting of the Society of Government Affairs Council in Colorado Springs. The presentation was the highlight of our event. It was extremely well received and talked about afterwards.

You can tell the audience is engaged with the speaker when they are paying attention to the speaker and not their phones. No one was on their phones.

During my ten years as chair and total of 29 years as a Trustee of the University of the Sciences, I have attended many, many commencements and have been impressed by the quality of our speakers. However, I can say, without question, that Michael’s address to the Class of 2020 is the best I have ever experienced.

Americans today are more likely to accept their child marrying a person of a different race than a person of a different political affiliation. Political “party-ism” is the new form of discrimination.” It’s observations like this that make Michael Smerconish so interesting and engaging. Michael Smerconish spoke at our 2019 Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., where more than 200 people, including dermatologists, patients and other healthcare professionals advocated on important issues affecting the specialty and our patients. Phila EO Group had Michael as their keynote for their recent member recruiting event in Philadelphia. EO is a group of local business owners, and we needed Michael to present a balanced program that would interest all sides. And he did. His talk on the great party divide, what causes it and what can be done about it, was balanced and informative...
